Classes begin with short conversation around a relevant topic to your pregnancy, and provide time to get to know the other women in class a bit better. You will then be guided into a prenatal yoga practice that nourishes your body with pregnancy-appropriate movements –a blend of happy challenge to strengthen, and breathing and stretches to release tension and cultivate calm and inner balance. Each class concludes with a lying down, deep rest meditation for pregnancy.
Throughout each class, you will learn specific breathing techniques and movement strategies to support labour and delivery, and you'll explore the MamaBe approach that supports you to access harmony and deep ease in your journey, regardless of the exact details of the unfolding.
Your friendly and authentic spirit combined with the warmth of the space and the quality of your teachings are exactly what I was looking for – even more!
I can’t tell you how much your class helped me with my labor and delivery. The breathing and visualization techniques that you both taught me were indispensable to me. I feel so fortunate and grateful.
The yoga really helps me, I see a major difference in my overall well being after I've attended a class. Thank you so much for this. I think I would have a hard time if it wasn't for the classes. I get anxiety sometimes I guess from the hormonal changes and you have really helped me with that.
I just wanted to let you know our daughter was born last week. We had planned on a home birth but there was meconium in her waters so we transferred to the hospital birthing center. I had an amazing and empowering birth - I loved labour and was able to manage easily without pain relief. I kept remembering little things you had said in our classes, and I believe these were helpful (specifically about being open to visualization). Thanks again for your wonderful classes!
I wanted to thank you for all the moments of peace you made me feel during quite a heavy pregnancy. Looking back I remember it with warmth and love. They were some of the only moments I had to bond with my little one and feel totally at peace with all that was happening in my body. I cherish these memories dearly.
Thank you for all of your help and wisdom in preparing for his arrival. Your classes helped me feel confident and powerful as I walked into his birth. It was very intense: after 3 days of on-and-off early labor, I had my membranes ruptured at the hospital, and 5 hours later the (10lb!) baby was here via vaginal delivery.
Thank you for everything, your class has been tremendously valuable in many different aspects of life but particularly in birth.
I wanted to thank you for everything you have taught me so far. I can't begin to tell you how helpful all of your training was during labor and delivery. Pretty sure my vocalizations were heard throughout the maternity wing at the hospital...I think I would have made you proud! It was truly a game changer to be able to use all the tools you provided me and although it was a rocky ride, I felt so much more confident and steadfast through it all thanks to you. I am forever grateful.
I breathed through the contractions as they got more painful and the nurse complimented me saying how strong I was. I was empowered and inspired from your courses, using the breathing techniques to work through it, and talk to myself to direct my thought process in a positive direction. Thank you!
I know I must sound like a broken record by now but you are amazing and your classes REALLY REALLY help not only with the pregnancy and delivery but also everyday life. I have been going through a difficult time with my family (accident and illness) in the past 2 years and your prenatal classes ended up being therapeutic for me and helped me have a less stressful pregnancy and I felt emotionally stronger because of them then and now... so THANK YOU seems like too few words to fully express my gratitude to you.
I meant to write sooner but it's been a little crazy around here! My little cocotte was born in mid November. We are both doing well! The breathing techniques I learned in your class saved me. Labour would have been a lot more difficult. Grateful to have been able to learn them from you.
Thank you for everything, your class has been tremendously valuable in many different aspects of life but particularly in birth.
Something very important I wanted to say to you is THANK YOU!!! Because without the breathing techniques and noise exercises, I could not go through the pain of delivery! I had the epidural but only at 8cm dilated, so I was pretty tough and I consider myself courageous now as I could go through the process very relaxed and calm! Always welcoming the pain and encouraging it instead of fighting against it. Thank you so much!!!!!!!
The breathing I learned in MamaBe made the world of difference!! So much so that I thought I was in pre-labour for the longest time (breathing through the contractions with almost no pain), and by the time we showed up at the hospital, I was 9 cm dilated!! We basically showed up – to push!
I just wanted to thank you for everything you taught me during the classes! I had the baby on Friday and the whole birth went really well! I definitely used the breathing techniques you showed and thought a lot about just living in the moment and letting labour happen and had a really positive experience! It was so fast this time I couldn't believe it! Seriously thank you for everything. I really thought about everything from the classes and had some pretty crazy out loud moaning going on! You made me feel empowered and gave me so many tools to use!
I want to thank you because I had an amazing birth experience and I'm sure the yoga class I took with you helped a lot! I practiced breathing techniques and visualization and I didn't need the epidural. I'm very proud of that and it is an incredibly empowering experience.
Mom and baby are doing well! Unfortunately I needed a repeat cesarian - I was really hoping for a VBAC but it didn't happen. But I kept and still keep repeating your wise words that we can create favorable circumstances but that there is so much that is not up to us, this has helped me accept that's how I was meant to give birth and make peace with it. I thank you for helping me embrace this as a wonderful experience of bringing a new life to the world!
I wanted to let you know despite expecting a high intervention birth due to doctors comments I had a totally natural birth without epidural just the way I envisioned it. I credit your practice and guidance which helped me stay calm and focused throughout. I taught my husband the breathing techniques and he coached me through each sensation. I managed to keep my body relaxed and my mind focused. Thank you for everything that you give us to put in our tool kit.
My baby is a little dream and although the labor was long and tough and I ended up in the hospital, I think that yoga really helped me get through a lot if it. Most importantly, I had a vbac! Thanks for helping with that. I really enjoyed your class and I think you did an awesome job creating a nonjudgmental and safe space, and generally talking about birth in a really nice way.
Thank you for the lovely prenatal yoga class - you created such a light-filled, calming haven in the midst of the everyday bustle and anxiety of pregnancy!
I truly believe that my continuous yoga and meditation journey with Clearlight in the live-streaming classes helped me have such a beautiful pregnancy, a healthy birth and a great recovery!
Clearlight's prenatal yoga class was my favorite after trying a few different ones. She really prepared me for birth, which went very well and with no tearing!! My husband and I also did her couples workshop (Authentic Birthing Program) which was ever so enlightening. I am now about to start mom and baby yoga. HIGHLY recommended.
I am so, so, so grateful to have joined the class, I loved absolutely everything about it, starting of course with you, your warmth, smile, sense of humour, attention to each and everyone in the class, your wisdom, and your way of making us feel that everything is ok... I appreciated all your tips and help...
I loved the vibe of the group and always left it feeling energized, calm and genuinely happy. There is this softness... and this "non-judgmental" approach to it, which always made me feel welcomed. I also loved meeting other moms and getting to know them through their stories at the beginning of the class... it made me feel that I was not alone and that we were all experiencing the same struggles/joys, which help me gain confidence in myself. Being new to yoga, it was also a discovery for me, because I felt like it was the first time I did an exercise that took care of my body as a whole... I discovered that we can exercise a great deal by doing things like hugging the belly, lying down... rather than doing a lot of fast repetitions, if we really concentrate on doing a movement well, it is extremely effective... I always felt sore the day after the class! It was also the first time I was really doing something with my body since the birth, and it felt so good.
I appreciate your guidance not only for the exercises and invaluable information you shared with us but also how you were able to connect with us on a deeper level (more emotional & spiritual I would say) even if we were in separate ‘places'. This allowed me to keep calm, to keep the focus on what is really important right now, and to be in the present moment. I found useful tools to cope with my anxiety. I learned how to breathe and how to find my inner sanctuary. I learned how to exercise and move my body during this maternity period that helped me ease my "pains" or tensions. Your guidance and helpful information at the beginning of the sessions, were very educational. I think for me your energy makes all the difference. I would recommend your course to all pregnant women. I feel like you are a very caring person that makes me feel understood. You're the best!
I attended the prenatal yoga course with Clearlight throughout my pregnancy and would highly recommend it. The class is more or less broken down into three parts, each contributing in some way to pregnancy (information, physical movement, relaxation). You really don't ''go hard'', but being someone who is typically active, I was surprised at how little movement it takes when you're pregnant to feel like you're challenging your body! What I appreciated most about the course was the positive mindset it helps to create, as well as integrating certain breathing techniques which I feel will both be useful in labor. It was also really nice to be in the presence of other mother's during the unique experience of pregnancy. Clearlight is informative, kind, genuine and offers a good balance of sound advice, as well as positive energy. She really does offer a space that feels open to anyone. I would highly recommend her as a teacher, and taking her prenatal course.
